Based in Beverly Hills, Concord Music Group (CMG) was founded in 1973 and have since partnered with companies like Starbucks to release Grammy-winning albums. With their deep catalogue of historically significant recordings and roster of high-profile artists like Paul McCartney, James Taylor and Elvis Costello, they’ve become one of the largest independent record and music publishing companies in the world.
For the Concord Music Group (CMG) we needed to develop a system that would make it simple and efficient for them to interact with their ever-growing fanbase of subscribers. Our application would need to generate custom sign-up forms on the fly that would allow this fanbase to subscribe to new artists or tours while saving CMG on the intensive labor needed to manually design and configure each form.
Concord Music Group was spending hours and hours a week coding each new Sign Up Form from scratch and manually tracking the results. Not only was this stunting the growth of their subscriber base, it was draining valuable resources by requiring excessive work on behalf of IT and development teams, costing the company thousands in the process.
They needed a fully automated application that would do the work for them while still offering the same benefits to their subscribers.
CMG works with many of the world’s biggest musicians and the world’s biggest tours. Custom Sign Up Forms would be able to be generated quickly to keep up with the growing demand of subscribers.
The Sign Up Form application would be fully automated, eliminating the person-hours needed to manually design and configure each new form while capturing vital data from the subscription group.
After exploring multiple concepts with Concord Music Group,
we landed on our winning idea.
Using an agile process, we quickly determined the core requirements for what the client wanted as well as the need of the community that would
be engaging in the product.
Every aspect of the user experience was taken into account from functionality to aesthetics. This attention to detail is what has helped the Concord Music Group grow their base of subscribers while still saving time on labor.
During our story carding and development meetings for the CMS Sign Up Forms, we discovered future projects that would contribute to the overall growth and efficiency for Concord Music Group. After the successful launch of the primary project, we began streamlining the secondary ideas that were unearthed during our creative sessions. The second solution we developed for Concord Music Group was the creation of their Online Media Kits which contributed to the success of internal CMG processes as well as client experiences.
